Vonage to stump up $120m to Verizon
Court refuses to reconsider ruling
Vonage has been ordered to pay $120m to Verizon for patent infringements, as the US Court of Appeals rejected its call for the case to be reconsidered.…
Hey, Vonage, what part of “it’s over between us” don’t you understand?
Or, to put it another way, this is a story about how Comcast and Vonage have given a fellow named Asay a pain.Sorry but just couldn’t resist the groaner play on a rather impolitic vernacular.Actually, we are talking here about colleague Matt Asay’s repeated, unsuccessfuly efforts to transfer his Internet phone account from Vonage to [...]
Vonage loses in court, must pay Verizon $37.5 million more than it would have
Today, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has said it has denied Vonage’s appeal to rehear its patent infringement dispute with Verizon. As you see from the grab off the Court’s rulings page: (I’d link but link changes daily) the opinion was only one word in length. The word: Denied.”As a result, and in [...]

VoIP Blogger Steals TMC Articles
Normally, I wouldn't spend my time complaining about someone plagiarizing my blog or any of TMC's other blogs. I've written about sploggers in the past, that take word-for-word the exact copy of your blog posts. But, I figured if I just ignore them, they'll go away or be a nuisance at worst. Interesting Vonage Customer Complaint
Frank Trama told me his horror story about how he tried to cancel Vonage and how Vonage continued to bill him even though Vonage no longer was in control of Frank's phone number.
Skype Outage
Skype is experiencing a major outage. My fellow TMC co-workers noticed it late Wednesday when they couldn't IM fellow co-workers. TMC's Dave Rodrqiguez told me that he went home for the day, signed into Skype from home and was bombarded with a ton of Skype IM messages that didn't go through earlier. I checked Skype's home page but no mention there.

Viseon Media, a video phone manufacturer, has apparently bitten the dust.
